Charles "Chuck" Bailey (59) of Herrick

Charles “Chuck” Bailey, 59, of Herrick, IL passed away at home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones.

Chuck was born on December 20, 1959, in Fayetteville, NC, the son of Robert and Verna (Jones) Bailey. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was proud to have served his country. He and Elizabeth Miller were married on December 25, 1990. Chuck worked for FedEx in Effingham, IL and was a truck driver before joining FedEx. He enjoyed working on cars and playing his guitar.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Bailey of Herrick, IL; mother, Verna Jones of Beecher City, IL; daughters: Brandi McClain of Lillian, TX, Jennifer Miller of Herrick, IL and Rikki (Brad) Tilton of Effingham, IL; sons: Andrew Wooddell of Decatur, IL and Daniel Bailey of Shelbyville, IL; brothers: Richard Bailey of Beecher City, IL, Thomas Bailey of Effingham, IL, Keith Bailey of Imperial, MO, Roger (Gena) Bailey of Mattoon, IL and Alex Dishauser of Ponca City, OK; sisters: Robin (Don) Simmons of Ponca City, OK and Donna Bush of Stillwater, OK.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bailey; two sisters: Lisa and Kathy; brother, Bobby Bailey and sister-in-law, Beth Bailey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
