Antoinette M. “Ann” Suiter, 91 of Effingham, entered into her eternal life on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, with her family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 14 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Shumway with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Ann was born April 17, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Eleanor (Reisch) Monahan. She married James W. “Jim” Suiter on December 29, 1951 in St. Louis and he preceded her in death in 2011. Ann was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham.

Ann is survived by her son, Jim (wife, Debbie) Suiter of Downs; daughter, Janet (husband, Mike) Wade of Effingham; seven grandchildren, Emily (Jeff) Guernsey, Becky (Dan) Mauger, Amy (Nick) Mayoral, Mallory (Cris) Mayhaus and Morgan (Adam) Wagner, Bryan Suiter (fiance, Madison) and Jamie Suiter; eight great-grandchildren, Tristan, Nathan and Brooklyn Guernsey, Logan and Kate Mauger, Jada and Jorie Mayhaus and Margo Mayoral.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Florence Filla and Jeanne Hampton.
