Shirley Mae Goldsborough, 84, of Brownstown, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 at the First Christian Church, Brownstown with former pastor Kendall Bopp and current pastor Nathan Brands officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, rural Brownstown. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown and for 1 hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.

Shirley was born on Sunday, August 11, 1935 in Brownstown to Guy and Marie (Wasser) Smith. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Brownstown. During her working career she was employed at Richardson Brothers Greenhouse, St. Elmo, as a cook at Brownstown High School, and as a medical secretary for Dr. Donald Rames in Vandalia.

She is survived by; her daughter, Robin Lovett and her husband Donald of Brownstown; son, Mark Goldsborough and his wife Theresa of Brownstown; sister, Karen Miller of Brownstown; grandson, Aaron Lovett and his wife Samantha; granddaughter, Jennifer Annable and her husband Sam; great grandchildren, Reese and Easton Lovett and Rowan Annable; nephews, Samuel and Brody Miller.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
