Lois Irene Diel Romack (91) of Newton

Lois Irene Diel Romack age 91 of Newton passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Newton Care Center, Newton, Illinois.

Funeral services celebrating Lois's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton with Rev. Amy Jeffries officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Monday in the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Kerns Cemetery, Gila.  Online condolences may be offered by clicking here.

Lois was born on February 29, 1928 in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of William and Irma (Ellis) Wilson.  On March 30, 1946, Lois married Garland A. Diel.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 1972.  She later married Neil Romack.  He preceded her in death.  Lois spent her life as a wife, mother, and homemaker.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member of the Chancel Choir.  Having a love of music, Lois played the piano and the accordion.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching the great grandchildren when needed.

Lois will be loved and remembered by her sons Bill (Kay) Diel of Dieterich, Garry (Dara) Diel of Newton, Ray (Debbie) Diel of Newton, Tom (Jan) Diel of Iola, OK, Bruce (Sue) Diel of Newton, and Pat (Patty) Diel of Newton; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren; brothers Lowell (Joanne) Wilson of Newton and Carl Wilson of Nevada.

Her parents, husbands, great granddaughter Morgan Elizabeth Dettrey, and brothers Dale Wilson and Kenneth Wilson preceded her in death.
