Michael Edward Clark, age 65, of Rose Hill, Illinois, passed away 10:28 PM Sunday, July 28, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Funeral services celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, August 2 at the Hunt City Congregational Christian Church in Hunt City, Illinois, with Phil Boyd officiating. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM Friday at the church. In loving memory of Mike, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund, PO Box 333, Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Michael Edward better known as “Mike” was born February 27, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Floyd Clark and Barbara (Dodson) Clark. He married Jo Martin on August 9, 2009, at Sam Parr State Park in Newton, Illinois. Mike was known by many as a mechanic having worked at several businesses in the area. When he wasn’t fixing things he enjoyed photography and spending time with his dogs and grandchildren. He had a strong love for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Chocolate Ice Cream. 

Mike is survived by: Wife of 9 years - Jo Clark of Rose Hill, Illinois; Mother - Barbara Martin of Newton, Illinois; Children - Daniel Boone Clark of Newton, Illinois; Christy Hill of Florida; Rob Seaney of Bakersfield, California; Jennifer (Bob) Pritts of Oblong, Illinois; Jaime (Robert) Bay of Oblong, Illinois and Sessaly (Jeff) Miller of Robinson, Illinois; Grandchildren - Ashely (Cody) Savage; Amber Andrews; Zach Seaney; Jake (Hanna) Seaney; Ben Seaney; Nathan Seaney; Alec Seaney; Sophia Seaney; Garrett Pritts; Kayla Pritts; Lynus Bay; Mylo Bay and Mason Lewis; Siblings- Jerry (Heather) Martin of Newton, Illinois; Judith (Leon) Zumbahlen of Oblong, Illinois and Valerie (Everett) Kitchen of Hunt City, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, friends and family also survive.

Mike was preceded in death by his father; step-father Jack Martin; a brother John Milburn; two grandsons Christopher Andrews and Wyatt Bay.
