Arlene E. Doehring (80) of Stewardson

Arlene E. Doehring, 80, of Stewardson, IL passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at home surrounded by family.
She was born on October 29, 1938, in Stewardson, IL, the daughter of Horace Dale Koontz and Wilma F. Brandt. She graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg High School in 1955. She married Richard G. Doehring on December 27, 1957. She loved him, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Stewardson, IL; brother and sister-in-law, John (Lillias) Koontz of Midwest City, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine (Zane) Mayberry of Shumway, IL; sisters-in-law: Nelda Koontz, Arlene Koontz, Nancy Koontz and Wanda Koontz; her children: Debbie (Gerard) Bushur of Sigel, IL and Tammy Culler of Stewardson, IL; six grandchildren: Jill (Corey) Wells of Shelbyville, IL, Kelly (Sean) McCollegan of Columbia, MO, Phillip (Mary) Culler of Westchester, PA, Devin Hammer of Clinton, WI, Darcie (Brennan) Buening of Effingham, IL and Jeremy Boehm of Sigel, IL; eight great-grandchildren: Kaeden O'Connor, Ethan, Chase, Colin Wells, Cal McCollegan, Morgana Culler, Eli Wells and Malcolm Culler and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Florence Doehring; brothers: Jim Koontz, Dale Koontz Jr, Howard Koontz and Dwane Koontz; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Dale) Allsop and sister, Marilyn Koontz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson, IL with Pastor Susan McCollegan officiating. Burial will take place in Stewardson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Brummerstedt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Arlene’s name to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Association.
