Cheryl L. Ragsdale, 59, of Newton, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in honor of Cheryl from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 24 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial gifts in honor of Cheryl may be made to the Master’s Hands. Online condolences may be left by clicking here.
Cheryl was born October 19, 1959 in Baltimore City, Maryland the daughter of Charles and Mary (Lucky) Wilmoth. For many years, Cheryl worked as a manufacturing supervisor for Conmed in New York. After moving to Newton, Cheryl enjoyed helping others, volunteering at the Master’s Hands and attending the New Beginnings Church. For many years, she served as a sponsor and was instrumental in opening the chapter of AA in Newton. Her free time was spent as an avid cross-stitcher.
Cheryl will be loved and remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Ariel and Justin Gasaway of Chickamauga, GA; grandchildren Draven Dhom and Emilia Gasaway; brother Jerry Wilmoth of New York and sister Carol Wilmoth.
Her parents and brother Wayne Wilmoth and Perry Wilmoth preceded her in death.
