Edna “Anna” Gebben, 62, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be left by clicking here
Anna was born on June 30, 1957, in Charleston, IL, the daughter of Lloyd “Arkie” and Norma (Bosler) Waters. She was united in marriage to Randy Gebben on May 20, 1988.
Family was important to Anna and she was very involved in her children’s and granddaughter’s life. Anna spent much of her time making sure her flowers looked as beautiful as she did all the while riding around with her granddaughter on her golf cart. Anna was caring and compassionate. These traits were exemplified through her role as Senior Activity Coordinator at local assisted livings.
Anna is survived by her husband, Randy Gebben of Effingham; sons, Ryan (wife, Valerie) Gebben of Effingham, and Bradley (fiancée, Elizabeth Levine) Gebben of Effingham; granddaughter, Viviana Gebben; a grandson on the way; father, Arkie Waters of Hot Springs, AR; sister, Linda (husband, Chuck) Schafer of Glen Carbon; brother, Jeff (wife, Vickie) Waters of Mattoon; mother-in-law, Lila Gebben of Effingham; and sister-in-law, Cindy (Randy) Esch of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Waters; sister, Laura Collins; brother, Michael Waters, and father-in-law, Ray Gebben.
