Allen Keith Bandelow, 62, of Mason, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019, at his home
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Altamont. Visitation will be from 4 till 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Private family graveside services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Organ Restoration Fund or to the donors’ choice.
Allen was born on Saturday, July 21, 1956, in Effingham to Keith and Lucille Durheim Bandelow. He was a life member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he had served in various capacities including elder, trustee and cemetery sexton. He retired from Greenline Equipment in Farina as lead mechanic. He also had a tractor repair shop and was a farmer. He was a member and past president of the Mill Road Threshermen. He was widely known for his expertise in tractor restoration.
Allen is survived by his sister Annette (Chris) Altman, nephew, Daniel Altman, niece, Hannah Altman and aunt, Bernice Graumenz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
