Wanda J. Beck (68) of Beecher City

Wanda J. Beck, 68, of Beecher City, Illinois passed away at home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born February 2, 1951, in St. Elmo, the daughter of John and J. Marie (Durbin) Larimore. Wanda spent her entire life in the Beecher City area, graduating from Beecher City High School in 1969. She and Dennis Beck were united in marriage on August 23, 1975 in Beecher City. Wanda retired from the United States Postal Service after 24 years of service on December 31, 2008. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, quilting, collecting glassware and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Illinois Fighting Illini fan.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis Beck of Beecher City; sons: Dan Beck (Cristy Lawrence, and sons Braden and Bryce of Beecher City and Josh (Jill) Beck of Effingham; grandchildren: Aiden and Courtney Beck; sister: Wilma (Don) Riley of Beecher City and brother, Gary Larimore of Effingham.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Galard Larimore at infancy.

In keeping with Wanda’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made in Wanda’s name to: Crossroads Cancer Center, 905 Medical Park Drive, Effingham, IL 62401, Spring Hill Cemetery, c/o Steve Wright, 2827 N 2100 Street, Beecher City, IL 62414 or Donor’s Choice. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
