Marilyn Moeller (89) of Effingham

Marilyn M. Moeller, 89 of Effingham, passed away Friday afternoon, May 3, 2019 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Blue Point, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church and for one hour prior to funeral service Saturday morning at the church. Memorial donations may be given to St. John’s Food Pantry, St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund (Blue Point) or Meals on Wheels. 

Marilyn was born September 10, 1929, the daughter of Edwin and Gertrude (Ziegler) Hammer. She married Earl M. Moeller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Altamont on May 30, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2017. Marilyn was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham. 

Marilyn is survived by her children, Nancy (Randy) Ashcraft of Pana, Stanley Moeller of Effingham, Steve (Nancy) Moeller of Effingham, Lisa (Bill) Brackney of Effingham, David (Angie) Moeller of Effingham and Stacia Rose of Altamont; sister, Dorothy Meier of Altamont; daughter-in-law, Nancy Moeller of Pana; 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. 

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Dennis and Mark; daughter-in-law, Marlene; sister, Velda Soltwedel and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Soltwedel and Arlen Meier.
