Lyndell F. Webb (85) of Effingham

Lyndell F. Webb, 85, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side.
Lyndell was born on July 13, 1933, in Effingham County, IL to Jesse and Naomi (Burry) Webb. He was united in marriage to Margaret Rose Pryke on November 6, 1954 in Cambridge, England.
Lyndell was a retired Air Force Veteran of 22 years serving tours of duty in England, Germany and stateside during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. Following his service with the military in 1972, he moved his family back to Effingham and worked at World Color Press for over 20 years. He was also an avid automobile enthusiast. Some have said, “He changed vehicles often as he changed his socks!”
Lyndell is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Linda (Steve) Wiedman of Effingham; son, Wayne (Judy) Webb of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Adam (Ryan) Webb of Addison, TX; granddaughter, Jenna (Shawn) Warf of Hewitt, TX; great-grandchildren Lucien and Everly Warf and baby Webb on the way; and sisters, Nancy (Ray) Chapple of Spokane, WA and Patricia Orsborn of Effingham.
According to Lyndell’s wishes, there will be no services. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.
