Janet Marie Pierson, age 79, of Iola, Illinois passed away at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a two-hour visitation prior to the service. Kent Robinson will be officiating. Burial will be at Red Brush Cemetery in Louisville, Illinois. Memorials may go to Clay County Hospice or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Janet was born on February 29, 1940 in Blair Township, the daughter of Aden and Mary (Soles) Blair. She married Darrell Pierson on August 30, 1958 in Louisville, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening, sitting on her back porch and observing her flowers and hummingbirds and listening to her fountains, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell Pierson; daughters, Terri (Mark) Clark and Tracy (Neil) Gould; 7 grandchildren, Sheila McPeak, Ryan (Savannah) Clark, Greg (Ashley) Clark, Kristen (Cole) Duke, Beth (Jeff) Haarmann, Emily (Jason) Liggett, and Curtis (Jill) Gould; 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew McPeak, Eli Duke, Elise Duke, Ella Clark, Landry Clark, Addy Clark, Gracie Clark, Kensie Clark, Clayton Haarmann, Blair Liggett, and baby Haarmann on the way; special friends, Ellie Bailey and Alice Elledge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aden and Mary Blair and oldest daughter, Tammy Lewis.
