Glen E. Martin, 87, of Montrose passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in the Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 20, 1931 in Shelby County the son of Gaylord and Carrie (Bodine) Martin. Glen was retired from the Nickle Plate Railroad and also worked at a service station for years. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends and was famous for his tomatoes. He married Lillian Harris December 10, 1988 in Cumberland County and she survives.

Also Glen is survived by his daughters, Debra Carrie of Petersburg, and Jane Richey (Dennis) of Ashmore; Step-Daughters, Dorothy Scott of Atwood and Joann Charles of Greenup; Brother, Donald Martin (Linda) of Neoga; Sisters, Pauline Verdeyen of Effingham and Grace Winnings of Sarasota, Florida; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; special friends, Donald and Mary Cordes of Neoga.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two Brothers, Bobby Dean and Earl B. Martin; four Sisters, Gwendolyn Mayhall, Jean Bernadini, June Grunloh and Shirley Stateler.

As per Glenn's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no public services. The Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here
