Ursula (Having) Barker, 86 of Acworth, GA joined her husband, Norman Barker in heaven on Nov 8, 2018 after a long illness. She was a resident of Brookdale Senior Center, Woodstock, GA. She was a 1950 graduate of Saint Anthony High School.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery.

She was a life member of the Kingsland, GA VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a 20 year member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church of St. Mary's GA. Most recently, she was a member of St. Catherine's of Siena Church of Kennesaw, GA. She loved knitting & crocheting, playing pool, cards including poker, and hitting the slots at the casino.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman, mother & father, Martha & Al Having, & brothers Robert, Howard & Maurice Having.

She leaves behind sisters Kathleen (Leonard) Boerngen of Tuscola, IL, Lucille (Dale) Francois of Salem, IL Doris (Tom) Cornell of Effingham, IL and Pat (Dick) Probst also of Effingham, IL Ursula had four children that will forever miss her, Debbie (Mick) Chapman of Baldwinsville, NY, Mark Barker of Hyde Park, MA, Judy (Todd) Held of Woodstock, GA and Steve Barker of Acworth, GA. She also leaves behind three grandsons: Sean, Corey, and Tim Walsh, three granddaughters: Amanda Santiago, Amber and Lindsay Fraser and nine great grandchildren.

The Barker family would like to thank the Brookdale family for the loving care they provided for Ursie. She could be obstinate at times, but you never gave up.
