Ralph W. Powell, 77, of Brownstown, died at 12:05 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home.
According to Ralph’s wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Avena will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, will be assisting the family with arrangements.
Ralph William Powell was born on Sunday, October 19, 1941 to Cecil and Stella (Welborn) Powell in Louisville, Kentucky. He married Sharon Pinkston and she survives. He was a salesman for Montgomery Ward.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Sherri (Jim) Dagen, Brownstown, Victoria (Gene) Durbin, St. Elmo, Kathleen Powell, Brownstown; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Powell, Altamont, C. Gerald Powell, Altamont; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Powell; and sister, Barbara Ramsey.
