Laura Beth Gould, 80 of Bible Grove, passed away at 4:07 pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign.

She was born on October 12, 1938 in Flora, the daughter of the late James Ralph and Florence (Hostettler) Chandler. Laura married John Gould on October 16, 1956 at the Beulah Methodist Church in rural Flora and he survives.

Mrs. Gould worked as a seamstress operating LB’s Drapery shop; a service she provided to the people of Clay County for over 30 years. She was a member of the Clay City United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing outfits for her grandchildren, quilting, knitting and spending time with her family and dear friends.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, John, Laura is survived by a son; Neil (Tracy) Gould of Louisville, two daughters; Gala (Tom) Hinkle of St. Louis and Linda (Lee) Ungrund of Illiopolis, six grandchildren; Beth (Jeff) Haarmann, Lance (Rachel) Ungrund, Emily (Jason) Liggett, Curtis (Jill) Gould, Lynnette Ungrund and Logan Ungrund, three great-grandchildren; Clayton Haarmann, Blair Liggett and MacKenzie Ungrund, Brother-in-laws; Loren Gould of Chesapeake, VA and Gerald (Orpha) Gould of Bible Grove, Sister-in-laws; Doris Chandler of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Kay Seay of San Diego, CA and Jeanne Gould of Fort Wayne, IN and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by a brother, John Paul Chandler, two brother-in-laws, Lewis Gould and Michael Seay and a sister-in-law; Lorraine Gould.

Funeral services honoring the life of Laura will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 16 at the Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Pastor Jill Bunker will officiate. Interment will follow at Shouse Chapel Cemetery in Bible Grove. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
