Charles Robert “Bob” Stanfield, 79, of Louisville passed away at 5:53 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at his home in Louisville.

Bob was born on March 8, 1939, in Blair Township, the son of the late Keller and Josie (Immel) Stanfield. He married Sue Miller on September 28, 1963, at United Methodist Church in Louisville, and she survives. Mr. Stanfield was the owner and operator of Stanfield Tractor Service for more than 50 years. He was a member of Red Brush Christian Church. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Sue, Bob is survived by two sons; Dr. Rodney  (Amy) Stanfield and Dr. Kelly (fiancée Julie Vahling) Stanfield, both of  Effingham; 5 grandchildren: Abby (Jarrett) Grewell, Kassie Stanfield, Garrett (Rachel) Stanfield, Olivia & Cassidy Stanfield and by a great grandson expected in May; a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Stanfield;  special friends: Charles Cox and Paul Smith and by several nieces, nephews, and good friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Riley (Joyce) Stanfield, Immel Stanfield (Starr), and Ed Stanfield; five sisters: Ruby (Elbert) Pierson,  Anna (Aden) Daugherty, Bonnie (Wally) Barbee, Della (Leon) Kidwell and Alice (Vernon) Willison.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Stanfield will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 at Red Brush Christian Church in Louisville. Bro. Gary Barbee will officiate. Interment will follow at Red Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to Full Armor Christian Academy.
