Yolanda M. Michaelree of Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Yolanda was born in Barranca, Peru to Aquilino Rea Nolasco and Dionisia Ravello of Rea. She married John Michaelree on January 12, 1972 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1995.
Yolanda was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the CD of A. Yolanda had a passion for teaching and helping others. She was retired from teaching in Peru, Sacred Heart School, and Lake Land College. Yolanda volunteered in the community and used her gifts to assist adults in learning English, work the front desk at the hospital, and translate for the City of Effingham.
Her family included a brother, Crosby Rea Ravello of Lima, Peru; and sister, Diana Rea Ravello.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
