Lois E. Williams, fondly known by those who knew and loved her as “Granny”, 84, of Shelbyville, Illinois passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois surrounded by her loved ones.

Lois was born January 24, 1934, in Beecher City, Illinois, the daughter of Gordon and Vera (Waddelow) Bieber. She and Robert Williams were united in marriage on January 11, 1953 and recently celebrated 66 joyous years together. Lois lived a long and wonderful life. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to time spent with loved ones she could be found reading, sewing or admiring the hummingbirds.

Surviving are her husband, Robert of Shelbyville; five children: Diane (Gary) Crowder of Shelbyville, Donna (Rodney) Storm of Shelbyville, Carol (Rick Smith) Haycraft of Stronghurst, Greg Williams of Phoenix, AZ and Lila (Brian) Hudson of Shelbyville; ten grandchildren: Amber (Darren) Kennell, Corey (Jennifer) Crowder, Aaron Johnson, Ashley (Chad Armstrong) Johnson, Kami (Cory) Richards, Dustin (Carla) Mose, Tifni Haycraft, Mark Williams, Myles (Kayci Creviston) Williams and Brandon Plumb; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Wilma (Harold) Small of Shelbyville and Carolyn Vieback of Pana; sister-in-law, Mary Bieber of Lakewood.

Preceding her in death were her parents, infant son Bobby and brother Glen R. “Dick” Bieber.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be given in Lois’s name to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
