Robert L. Jackson, 73, of Altamont, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.

Robert was born on May 28, 1945, in Decatur, IL, the son of Floyd J. and Ethel M. (Cocagne) Jackson.

Robert drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 25 years retiring in 2001. He loved baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Robert also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing his guitar.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert M. Jackson of Belleville, Barbara (William) Karnes of Beecher City, and Daniel J. Jackson of Farina; companion, Violet Backs of Altamont; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Mary Ann) Jackson of Monroe, MI, and Daniel Jackson of Chino, CA; and sisters, Betty (Wayne) Hathaway of Effingham and Janet (David) Tendick of Philo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers.
