Margaret M. Fosbender (97) of Sigel

Margaret M. Fosbender, 97, of Sigel, Illinois passed away at 5:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in the Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Effingham, Illinois.

She was born August 22, 1921, in Sigel, Illinois the daughter of Frank and Mary (Willenborg) Holkenbrink. Margaret, married Charles Donald Fosbender, October 25, 1941 in Sigel and Mr. Fosbender passed away January 22, 1969. Mrs Fosbender was a member of the St. Michael The Archangel Church of Sigel, Illinois, she worked as a store clerk for the Sigel Grocery of Sigel.

Margaret leaves five children, Joan Campaignac (Rene) of Chicago, IL, Charles Fosbender, Sue Stacey of Sigel, IL, Julie Spalding (Chris) of Salem, IL and Linda Foley of Sigel, IL; two sisters, Loretta Krampe 0f Sigel, Il and Barbara Hardieck (Kenneth) Of Teutopolis, IL; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fosbender was also preceded in death by her parents; Husband; two brothers, Henry and Albert Holkenbrink; five sisters, Elizabeth Sarff, Mary Rose Villella, Anna McMahan, Clara Mettendorf and Frances Buhnerkemper.

Memorials may be made to the St. Michael The Archangel Church, or to St. Michael School, Post Office Box 68, Sigel, IL 62462.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29 in the St. Michael The Archangel Church of Sigel, with the Rev. Father Sunder Ery Officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday with a Parish Service to be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Church. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, Illinois. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL is in charge of arrangements.
