Dorothy Mae Finks, 64, of Toledo, IL passed away at 8:45 am on January 17th, 2013 at home.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Monday January 21, 2013 at the First Southern Baptist church in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery rural Montrose, IL. Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Dorothy was born in Mattoon, IL on April 29, 1948 the daughter of William G. & Rea (Lawhorn) Bueker. She married Lonnie Finks on June 18, 1966 at the Shumway United Methodist Church. Surviving is her loving and caring husband, daughters Cynthia Finks and special friend Ron Haack of Jewett, Tammy husband William Robinson of Greenup, Monica husband Garrie Carlen of Greenup and Christina husband Mark Gerhardt of Jewett; Brothers Lonnie wife Judy Bueker of Jewett and John Bueker of Ina, IL; a sister Donna Abbott and special friend Rick Morecraft of Toledo; grandchildren Joseph and Jesse Abbott, Preston, Austin, Dalton, Miranda, Michael, Isaac and Eli Robinson, Kyle and Kendra Carlen, Morgan, Megan and Logan Gerhardt.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
Dorothy was a homemaker and worked at the Bumble Bee Boutique in Toledo for 25 years. Dorothy’s most treasured thing in her life was her family; she loved her quilting and her flower gardens. Dorothy was something special to a lot of people and she will be missed by all.
