Michael Lee Harmon, 69, of Louisville passed away at 1:47 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home in Louisville.

Mike was born on May 7, 1949 in Bible Grove, the son of the late Daniel and Ellen F. (Lewis) Harmon. He married Marcia McDowell on September 1, 2001 in Louisville and she survives. 

Mr. Harmon worked as a second pressman for World Color Press in Effingham retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisville. Mike had many friends and enjoyed visiting with people, he enjoyed stopping in at the Flora McDonald’s to visit and have coffee with friends. He liked collecting John Deere memorabilia. Traveling to Pigeon Forge and Branson with his family and grandchildren were trips that Mike enjoyed the best; the time spent with his family was the time he loved the most. 

In addition to his wife Marcia, Mike is survived by a son; Eric Lee Harmon of Effingham, a daughter, Donna J. Bean of Mattoon, three grandchildren, Taylor Jenae Harmon, Mekenzie Jo Harmon and Haley Anderson, a brother, Reggie Harmon of Bible Grove and by several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Heather Elaine Harmon and Holly Renae Harmon-Anderson. 

Friends may call from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will then be conducted at 3:00 PM with Bro. Kelly Carruthers officiating. Interment will follow in the Shouse Chapel Cemetery in Bible Grove. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
