Jeanette was born on February 11, 1925 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Earl and Ella (Fark) Dowler. Jeanette was raised by her grandparents, Henry and Caroline Fark, along with her aunt Ann Gomer, due to her mother’s death when Jeanette was 10 months old. Jeanette was united in marriage to Keith Bledsoe on May 27, 1950, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham. Jeanette enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens for many years. She was an avid reader. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeanette has a gentle and kind spirit and an unwavering faith in God. She would always say “I am in the Lord’s hands.” Jeanette had a warm caring smile for everyone she met.

Jeanette is survived by her son, Dan (Janette) Bledsoe of Effingham; grandchildren, Joshua (Holly) Bledsoe of Monticello, IL, Jared (special friend, Tammy Chuang) Bledsoe of Seattle, WA, and Jessica (Norm) Wohlschlaeger of St. Charles, MO; and great-grandchildren, Parker, Andrew and Braxton Bledsoe all of Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; son, David Bledsoe; and step-brother, Charles Dowler.

What a beautiful Christian legacy she had left for our family.
