Anthony Allen Johnson, age 34, of Costa Mesa, California, and formerly of Jasper County, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, in California.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Johnson Family Farm Cemetery in rural Wheeler, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Tony’s memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Anthony Allen better known as “Tony” was born on September 5, 1984, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Ronald Claire Johnson, Jr. and Kathy Sue (Allen) Johnson.
Tony was a marine mechanic. He enjoyed hiking, boating and camping.
Tony is survived by: Mother – Kathy Johnson of Newton, Illinois. Father – Ronald Johnson, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Brother – Samuel Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee. Sister – Tara (Danny) Benton of Leawood, Kansas. Grandmother – Tanya Johnson of Wheeler, Illinois. Great Grandmother – Vera Wiley of Dieterich, Illinois.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Ruby Allen and Ronald C. Johnson, Sr.
