David Lee "Silver" Kimble (79) of Greenup

David Lee “Silver” Kimble, 79, of Greenup, IL passed away 4:10 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 13 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the Greenup Cemetery.
Dave was born on January 1, 1939 in Greenup, IL to Karl and Amanda Maude (Hawks) Kimble. He married Donna Carl on July 26, 1969.
He is survived by his wife; sons Karl Kimble and special friend Laurena Hensley of Greenup and Darrell (Sue Ann) Kimble of Greenup; two grandchildren Kody and Erik Kimble; brother Joe Kimble; sister Irene Devore.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Margaret Ferrington, Dorothy Tollman, Mary Walden, Clara Flower, and Marie Smallwood.
David worked for the Greenup Township for Forty plus years. He was a big supporter of the Greenup Hootenanny. He enjoyed dancing, old country music, but most importantly spending time with his grandkids.
