Kenneth W. Krampe, 87, of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Willowbrook of Effingham, Illinois.

Kenneth was born February 25, 1931, in Sigel, Illinois, the son of Andrew and Esther (Alwerdt) Krampe. Kenneth married Loretta M. Holkenbrink, January 21, 1956, in Sigel, Illinois. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, and he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Kenneth was a former member of the Sigel Fire Department and a member of the American Legion Post # 1134, all of Sigel, Illinois, and a member of the V.F.W. Post # 1769, of Effingham, Illinois. Kenny was a retired truck driver, operating heavy equipment and farming. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors and if they needed help he was there.

Kenneth leaves his wife Loretta Krampe of Sigel, Illinois, after sixty-two years of marriage; eight children, Gerard (Karla) Krampe of Sigel, IL, David (Diane) Krampe of Sigel, IL, Sharen (Russell Sanders of Altamont, IL, Leonard (Mary) Krampe of Sigel, IL, Kenneth Jr. (Kathy) Krampe of Stewardson, IL, Michael (Jodi) Krampe of Sigel, IL, Andrew Krampe of Sigel, IL and Francis "Fritz" (Lisa) Krampe of Neoga, IL; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Mr. Krampe was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Esther Krampe; one granddaughter, Leah Marie Krampe; one brother, LeRoy Krampe; one sister, Matilda Zumbahlen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A. M. Tuesday, October 2 at St. Michael the Archangel Church of Sigel, Illinois, with the Rev. Father Sunder Ery officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the church with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel with Military Services conducted by the American Legion Post # 1134 of Sigel, Illinois. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
