Jeffrey L. Forbes (57) of Beecher City

Jeffrey L. Forbes, 57, of Beecher City, IL passed away at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Fayette County Hospital and Long Term Care in Vandalia, IL.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19 at Spring Hill Cemetery in rural Beecher City with Pastor Jeremy Smith officiating. Memorials may be made in Jeffrey’s name to Spring Hill Cemetery Association or Donor’s Choice.

Jeff was born August 26, 1961, in Effingham, the son of Hadley and Roberta (Williams) Forbes. He was a 1980 graduate of Brownstown High School. Jeff and LaQuita Julius were united in marriage on October 20, 1984. He was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and a member of the First Church of God in St. Elmo. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, time with family and loved his animals.

Jeff leaves behind his wife, LaQuita of Beecher City; mother, Roberta of St. Elmo; daughter, Lindsay (Andrew) Jones of Beecher City; two grandsons: Hudson and Logan, both of Beecher City; mother-in-law, June Julius of Beecher City and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Hadley Forbes; father-in-law, Keith Julius; uncles: Darrel Forbes, Ray Williams and Delbert Williams and aunt Charlette Engle.
