Barbara L. Harmon, 58, of Effingham, Illinois, formerly of rural Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 8:55 P. M. Sunday, August 26, 2018 in the Peterson Health Care of Effingham, Illinois.

Barbara was born April 15, 1960, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Rex and Emma (Schwerdt ) Harmon. She was a member of the St. Michael, The Archangel Church of Sigel and she was a former manager of the Taco Rail Restaurant of Effingham, Illinois.

Barbara leaves six brothers, John Harmon of Sigel, IL, Steve Harmon (Sheila) of Montrose, IL, Tom Harmon of Sigel, IL, Jim Harmon (Tammy) of Olney, IL, Larry Harmon of Effingham, IL and Paul Harmon (Seanne) of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Alice Icenogle (Brian) of Neoga, IL, Joyce Helmbacher of Sigel, IL and Doris Harmon of Charleston, IL; several nieces and nephews; many friends and fellow workers at Taco Rail.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to St. Michael The Archangel Church of Sigel, IL.

As per the wishes of Barbara, her body will be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday September 7 in the St. Michael The Archangel Church of Sigel, IL, with the Rev. Father Sunder Ery officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A. M. until service time at the Church. Inurnment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, Illinois. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL is in charge of arrangements.
