Louise D. Parrish, age 83, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away at 6:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in Vandalia, Illinois surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5 at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Memorials may go to C&A Pagel Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Louise was born on January 3, 1935 in Fayette County, Alabama the daughter of Holly and Della (Herron) Ford. She married Charles Parrish in Rockford, Illinois. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching wrestling, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Charlie Woods of Rockford, Illinois; two daughters, Christine Burr of Illinois and Linda Owens of Vandalia, Illinois; brother, Jayce Ford of Florida; sister, Merline Williamson of Alabama; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Holly and Della Ford; husband, Charles Parrish; two sons, Paul Roy Woods and Paul Jr. Woods; daughter, Barbara Merrill; two brothers; two grandchildren and one son-in-law, Edward M. Owens.
