Jerry Lee “Frog” Johnson, 66, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Jerry was born December 27, 1951, in Shelbyville, the son of Gifford and Ruth (Reynolds) Johnson. He worked at T&D Auto Parts before retiring from International Paper, now known as Graphic Packaging International, all in Shelbyville. Jerry was a member of the Shelbyville Lodge #1294 Loyal Order of Moose serving as the current treasurer, the Elks Lodge #1261 in Pana and the Shelbyville VFW Auxiliary Post #4829. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, mushroom hunting, spending time with friends and family and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Surviving is son, Aaron Johnson of New York, NY; daughter, Ashley Johnson of Shelbyville; three grandchildren: Kendyll Dunaway, Karson Johnson and Presley Sparks; three brothers: Larry (Sharon) Johnson of Findlay, Dale Johnson (good friend, Ann) of Bethany and Mark Johnson of Lovington.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Gifford and Ruth Johnson.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with burial in Wright Cemetery in rural Findlay.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made in his name for the Moose Charities.
