Dale W. Conner, 74, of Effingham County, Illinois went to heaven Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 13 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Pastor Willie Love officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 until service time. Burial will follow at Miller Chapel Cemetery, rural Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.giesekingfh.com
Dale was born Thursday, October 7, 1943 in Effingham to Louis ‘Bud’ and Jessie (Jones) Conner. He was employed in the printing industry for 30 years with 25 of those years being at RR Donnelley & Sons, Mattoon. His last and favorite job was working for the Effingham Equity for 12 years. He lived life to the fullest in whatever he was doing. When he was younger he loved hunting and then later in life enjoyed fishing with his wife.
He leaves behind his wife of 24 years Cindy K. (Cooper) Conner, Effingham; daughters, Lisa (Chris) Camden, Neoga and Kimberly R. Conner, Effingham (by his first wife, Marsha Conner); stepsons Thomas R.D. (Brittany) Ebetino, Fort Wayne, IN (Cindy’s son) and Jamie (Pat) Whitaker, Neoga (from his second marriage); brother, Larry (Kathy) Conner, Effingham, sister-in-law, Flo Conner, Princeton, IN ; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his dog and best-friend Miss Molly Grace.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Louis ‘Bud’ Conner, Jessie Conner-Horath; brothers, Melvin and Frank and Donald in childhood and a sister, Marilyn in infancy and very recently his beloved brother Frank Conner.
