Juanita Grace Rankin, 91, of Strasburg, IL, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 12 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL, with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - noon in the church. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL or Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.

Juanita was born on October 15, 1926 in Strasburg, IL, the daughter of Clyde Emmet and Nita Elizabeth (Rincker) Reel. She was a quality inspector at General Electric for many years and retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL. Juanita enjoyed fishing and hunting. She married Allen Rankin on May 29, 1948 in Strasburg, IL. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2016.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; brothers, Ervin and Ralph Reel; and sister, Etta Stremming.
