Kenneth D. Huddlestun, 88, of Greenup, IL passed away at 11:35 pm on December 20, 2012 at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday December 23, 2012 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will held from 12:00 till service time on Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial with Military rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Kenneth was born on July 21, 1924 in Yale, IL the son of Carlyle & Clara (Paul) Huddlestun. He married Veva Cook on June 29, 1946. Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years; sons Terry (Dorothy) Huddlestun of Greenup and Gary (Jackie) Huddlestun of Mattoon, IL; a brother Wayne “Joe” Huddleston of Greenup; sister Mary Strong of Greenup; six grandchildren Troy Huddlestun, Duane Huddlestun, Mack Huddlestun, Michelle Huddlestun, Nicole Osborne and Natalie Huddlestun; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Raymond “Buck”, Forrest, and Clarence Huddlestun and a sister Sarah.

Kenneth served his country in the US Army during World War II. He owned and operated the Meteor Super Service Station in Greenup for 10 years then he worked for Columbia Machine in Mattoon till he retired 1986 after 20 years.
