William Calvin Osborn of Neoga, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, April 10, 2018.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday April 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jackson Township Baptist Church, Effingham County. Funeral services honoring his life will follow immediately at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will then follow at Watson Cemetery, Watson, IL. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL.

William was born in 1939, Coles County, IL, to William Oliver and Norma (Houchin) Osborn. He married Roxanna White in 1959.

William accepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized in love in 1975. He was a faithful friend to many, a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather to his family. William retired from General Motors Service Parts Operation after 35 years of exceptional service. He enjoyed auctions, flea markets and searching for treasures.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Roxanna Osborn of Neoga; son, William Conway Osborn of Quincy, IL; daughters, Cynthia Osborn and Sandy of Decatur, GA, Leah Osborn Schulte and Paul of rural Windsor, IL, Elizabeth Osborn Mol and Gary of Marblehead, OH, and Paige Osborn Barrantes and Josh of Little Rock, AK; two sisters, Virginia Osborn Kammerer of St. Charles, IL, and Mildred Osborn Miller of Shelbyville, IL. William treasured his grandchildren and great grandchildren, leaving behind granddaughters: Shannon Verdeyen, Sascha Gambill, Sheree Krueger, Anne-Marie Burlingame, and Grace Osborn and great-grandchildren, Addison, Annabelle, Dawson, Evan, Corbin, Cillian and Alyxandria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Barbara Smith.

He gave God the glory for the blessings in his life.
