Helen Margaret  Bridges, 97, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 6:45 P. M. Monday, April 2, 2018, in HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital of Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 5 in the First Christian Church of Neoga with Pastor Mel Workman of Sullivan, IL officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour before the services at the Church. Burial will be in Cochran Grove (Upper Ash Grove) Cemetery in Shelby County, IL. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the building fund for the First Christian Church of Neoga, IL.

Helen was born August 20, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Mark and Etta (Noffke) Storm. She married Verne L. Bridges, March 9, 1940, in St. Charles, MO and Mr. Bridges passed away September 11, 1980. Helen was a housewife and a homemaker, she was also a retired seamstress for the Kern Mfg. Co. of Neoga, IL, a member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, IL, the THEOS of Mattoon, IL and a  former member of the Home Extension of Windsor, IL. Her special love was for her family, raising flowers and playing cards.

Mrs. Bridges leaves two daughters, Mary Ann Wilson and husband John of rural Stewardson, IL, Lula Marie Wilson and husband William of rural Mattoon, IL: two sisters, Juanita Harding of Mattoon, IL and  Marilyn Montgomery and husband Paul of rural Stewardson, IL; one sister-in-law, Melba Storm of Strasburg, IL; two grandchildren, Marsha Kay Fahey and husband Dr. Kevin of Romeo, MI, Jon Michael of Bloomington, IL; two step grandchildren, Kevin and Leyland Fahey of Denver, CO; one great grandson, John Fahey of Romeo, MI: several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bridges was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry and Dallas Storm and one sister, Ruth Lading.
