Mildred Maxine Conner, 66, of Stewardson, IL, passed away at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday, December 19th, 2012, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, with Dr. Roger Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Funkhouser Cemetery in rural Effingham. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11a.m. Saturday before the services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Hospital Guardian Angel Program in Springfield. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com Mildred Maxine was born on June 25, 1946 in Effingham, the daughter of Woodrow “Woody” and Betty (Bartimus) Conner. 

Maxine had attended First Baptist Church in Effingham. She retired from Quebecor Petty Printing Company in 2008. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was devoted to her family and her parrot, Bobby. Maxine is survived by her son, Terry E. “Bub” Longwell of Stewardson; daughters, Cheryl Longwell (special friend, Kurt Walden) of Stewardson and Sherri (Jason) Flack of Stewardson; brother, David Woodrow Conner of Effingham; grandchildren, Joseph Ingram (special friend, Hannah Westjohn), Nicole Ingram, Terry Longwell, Amber Herboth, and Brandon Thompson; and great- grandchildren, Aubree, Jaedyn, Haydyn, Brooklynn, Braxtyn, and Juan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Tommy Lee Longwell and Billy Ray Longwell; and brothers, Glen Ray Conner and William Eugene Conner.
