Nancy Grace Tipsword, 70, of Greenup, Illinois passed peacefully at 5:34 AM – Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Douglas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mattoon, Illinois.
Funeral services celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) – Friday, March 23 at the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois, with Virgil Cisney officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery north of Greenup, Illinois. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service. In loving memory of Nancy, memorials may be made to the Plum Grove Church.

Nancy was born on July 19, 1947, in Martinsville, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Mosher) Hall. She married William Tipsword on June 3, 1961, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2011. Nancy worked at the Cumberland Rehab and Nursing Center in Greenup for 15 years. She was a member of the Plum Grove Church north of Greenup, Illinois. Nancy enjoyed quilting and sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by: Children – Billy Tipsword of Mattoon, Illinois; Tim Tipsword of Johnson City, New York; Bonnie (William) Hite of Greenup, Illinois; Jerry Lee Tipsword of Greenup, Illinois and Mary Ann (Jeff) West of Mattoon, Illinois; Sister – Minnie Coates of Ashland, Illinois; 18 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
