William I. "Bill" Shook, 79, of Mattoon, Illinois passed away at 10:42 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the Douglas Nursing and Rehabilation of Center of Mattoon, Illinois.
As per Bill's wishes his body will be cremated, and no service will be held at this time. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Il, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice, in care of Janice Shook, 1874 Scenic Lane, Mattoon, IL 61938.

Bill was born November 26, 1938, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Fawnie and Lucille (Osborn) Shook. He married Janice Zike, March 31, 1957 in Mattoon, Illinois. Bill was a member of the Eagles Club of Mattoon, Il, Harley Motorcycle Owners Group and the Roofer's Union # 97 of Champaign, IL.
Bill leaves his wife Janice Shook of Mattoon, after sixty years of marriage: two daughters, Joy Marie Switzer and husband Jay of Daytona, FL, and Jody Lynn Shook of Champaign, IL; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Mr. Shook was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Don, Leroy and James Shook; one sister, Joy M. Hunter.
