Susan Joyce Crooker (55) of Beecher City

Susan Joyce Crooker, 55, of Beecher City, passed away at 11:23 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2018 at home with loved ones by her side.
Susan was born August 12, 1962, in Effingham, the daughter of Edmund and Janet (Wheeler) Crooker. She was a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a security guard at Fedders Corporation in Effingham. She truly enjoyed spending time writing and publishing poetry. Susan attended the Jackson Township Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Janet Murphy of Houston, Texas; son, Daniel Hoyer of Beecher City; life partner, Ed Zasada of Beecher City; several stepbrothers and step-sisters, step-daughter, Courtney Zasada of Beecher City; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her father, Edmund Crooker and grandparents, Jonathan and Irene Wheeler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City. Burial will take place in Watson Cemetery, Harry B Clear Drive, Watson, Illinois. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
