Hazel Storm, 97, of Lakewood, IL, passed away at 8:42 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Villas of Holly Brook in Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kathy Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Blessings in a Backpack or the American Cancer Society.

Hazel was born on June 26, 1920 at the old Austin Homestead west of Blue Mound, Illinois, the daughter of Harry F. and Bertha Dean Austin. She attended Blue Mound High School for two years and graduated from Stewardson High School in the Class of 1938. She married Ervin Storm on September 6, 1940. They were partners on the family farm. Hazel was also a substitute mail carrier. She was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Shelby Home Extension.

She is survived by her three children, Gary Storm (Kathie) of Lakewood, IL, Neil Storm (Kathie) of Lakewood, IL and Cheryl McClellan of San Antonio, TX; eleven grandchildren, Brad Storm (Kim), Debra Young (Christopher), Stephanie Beard (Todd), Timothy McClellan (Anne), Joseph McClellan (Wendy), Benjamin McClellan (Aimee), Ellen McClellan, Douglas Storm (Sarah), Ian Storm (Jill), Lia Koehler (Kris) and Evan Russell (Rebecca); twenty-two great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; son-in-law, Michael McClellan; grandson, Mathew McClellan; and brothers, Basil Green and Jake Green.
