Mary E. Myers, 78, of Cowden, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Shelbyville Manor.

Visitation will be from 12:00–2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 28 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Graveside services will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, in rural Beecher City, with Pastor Nick Robertson officiating.

Mary was born September 9, 1939, in St. Elmo, the daughter of Otis and Belva (Durbin) Rhodes. She married Myron Homer Myers on November 21, 1956 and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2017. Mary cherished her time raising and making memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. The hummingbirds will feel her absence as well, as she loved to feed the hummingbirds. Mary was a member of the Cowden Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.

Mary is survived by her children:  Gene (Pat) Myers of Indianapolis, IN, Terri (Dale) Wallace of Effingham, Mike (Marla) Myers of Herrick, and Carl Ray (Kim) Myers of Beecher City; grandchildren:  Sam (Jessica) Myers, Ben Myers, Ashlyn (Dusty) Bohannon, Cody Myers, TJ Myers, Colton Heiserman, Caleb Heiserman, Macie Heiserman, Chelsey (Dustin) Stuckemeyer, Kelsey (Jason) Herrmann, and Courtney Myers; one great-grandchild, Carley Stuckemeyer; brother, Darold (Dorothea) Rhodes of Vandalia, and sister Mildred Fisher of Cowden.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Otis and Belva; husband, Myron; brothers, Dale Rhodes and Don Rhodes and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
