Linda Louise Gentry, 73, of rural Sigel, Illinois passed away at 2:56 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 17 at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga. Visitation for family and friends, will be held after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, IL. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Gary Gentry, 410 N., 3275 East Rd., Sigel, IL  62462.

Linda was born August 7, 1944, in Arcola, Illinois, the daughter of Jimmy and Sarah (Graham) Poole. She graduated from the Mattoon High School. Linda, married Gary Gentry, November 28, 1963, in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a graduate of Mattoon High School. She attended the Dorothy Chrysler School of Cosmetology. Linda was a retired hair stylist for Klip & Curl of Neoga. She also owned and operated Linda's Florals in Neoga. She enjoyed camping, horseback riding at High Knob Campground, Karber's Ridge, IL. She enjoyed floating down the Current river in MO and she also enjoyed doing crafts. Linda, especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Gentry leaves her husband, Gary Gentry of rural Sigel, IL; one son, Gene Gentry of Neoga, IL; one daughter, Dana Koester and husband Pete of Sigel, IL; one brother, Jerry Poole of Mattoon, IL one sister, Kathy Black of Mattoon, IL; three grandchildren, Josie and Tanner Koester and Wyatt Gentry.

Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Poole.
