Jack E. Frank, 93, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Willowbrook of Effingham, surrounded by his children.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 11 at the First Presbyterian Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Effingham Public Library.

Jack was born on March 22, 1924, in Centralia, IL, the son of Charles and Stacia (Creed) Frank. He was united in marriage to Eugenia Theofanopoulos on June 16, 1957 in Fairfield, IL, and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2001. Jack served his country in the United States Navy from 1942-1946 as part of the North Atlantic Fleet on the USS Enoree. He was a professional engineer at the Illinois Department of Transportation in the Effingham office. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Banker Street Stock Club, and past member of Rotary. His family and friends were very important to him.

Jack is survived by his children, William (Karla) Frank of Chatham, Ellen (Gary) Welton of Effingham, and John (Julie) Frank of Marion, IA; grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Paisley, Kelsey (Terry) Millburg, Alexa Frank, Laura Welton, Hillary Welton, Jack (fiancée, Brianna Schiff) Frank, and Jennifer Frank; great-grandchildren, Jack Paisley, Owen Paisley, and Lilliana Millburg; and sister, Joan Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eugenia; and granddaughter, Emily Welton.
