Charles L. Pugh, 75, of Toledo, IL passed away at 7:36 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his residence.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday January 2 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo with funeral services at 7:00 pm. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society 2003 N. Dunlap Ave. Champaign, IL 61820.

Charles was born on June 6, 1942 in Mattoon, IL to John & Rita (Pygott) Pugh. He married Jacklan Hubbard on February 26, 1970, she preceded in death him on August 23, 2011.

Surviving is significant other Beverly Wright; Son Charles Richard Pugh of Casey; Daughters Karie (Chad) Cook of Annapolis and Vicki Winterrowd and special friend Scott Bielert of Marshall; Brother James Pugh of Mattoon; Sisters Kathy Double of Greenup and Edna Kemper of Mattoon; Grandchildren Hunter and Peyton Winterrowd and Jada and Colt Cook.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers Harry, Fed, Ed, Robert and Jerry Pugh; Sisters Bertha Woodard and three infants.

Charles retired Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy after 20 years while in service received Navy Achievement Medal with combat, Combat Action Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeder Medal, Vietnam Medal with Gold Star and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He then worked at Blaw-Knox for 25years. He was a life member of the Greenup VFW.
