Stanley was born on June 3, 1940, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Harold and Ruth (Boyd) Wilber. He was united in marriage to Myra Percival on June 24, 1995. Stanley joined the Marine Corps early during the Viet Nam conflict. Afterwards, he pursued a career of a millwright for over thirty years. One of his great passions, akin to being an avid outdoorsman, was being a HAM radio operator. Ordained as a minister in the Christian Church, Stanley was instrumental in the founding of Coulter’s Mill Bible Fellowship, a state wide jail/prison ministry. He attended Salt Creek Church in rural Watson, and filled in as an evangelist at several area churches.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Myra Wilber of Watson; brother, Don Wilber of Bloomington; 4 nephews; and 4 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
