Roger was born on April 6, 1951 in Fayette County, Illinois, the son of Leora C. (Morrison) Sluder. Roger was an owner/operator of Morrison Excavating for many years. He was a fun-loving man who never met a stranger and usually addressed the girls with “hey Hun”. He was always ready to tell a good joke, followed by a loud laugh. On most days, you could find Roger drinking coffee and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. Big Rog left a lasting impression on folks either with his big grin, ornery personality or his favorite tattoo.

He is survived by his son, Jared Morrison (wife Natalie) of St. Elmo, Illinois; five grandchildren, Jozsef, Gracie, Lexie, Ella and Jack Morrison and one great-grandchild, Decker Ritchey.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leora Sluder; stepdad, Gene Sluder; son, Benji Morrison and brother, Michael Sluder.
