Sandra Lue Crain, age 69, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at her home in Edgewood, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Reverend Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be at Keen’s Chapel Cemetery in Larkinsburg Township, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorials may go to ALS Association of St. Louis or the donor’s choice.

Sandra was born on March 7, 1948 in Mason, Illinois, the daughter of Wayne L. and Lucille (Norris) Parks. She married Merle Owen Crain on February 8, 1963 at Mason Christian Church in Mason, Illinois. She was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church and Edgewood Eastern Star. She enjoyed being a beautician for many years. She worked at St. Peter’s Little Saints Daycare and loved all the children very much. She loved to ride her golf-cart in the woods and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Merle Crain of Edgewood, Illinois; son, Kevin Crain (wife Dawn) of Farina, Illinois; daughter, Rachel Murphy (husband Chad) of Freeburg, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Lynnette Crain of Farina, Illinois; 3 brothers, Bill Parks (wife Joann) of Edgewood, Illinois, Doyal Parks (wife Trela) of Farina, Illinois and Robert Parks (wife Pat) of Huntley, Illinois; four sisters, Lois Hankins of Shumway, Illinois, Barbara Boomgarden of Effingham, Illinois, Beverly Mandel of Effingham, Illinois and Connie Wilhite of Effingham, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, Dusti Dickerson (husband Justin), Wade Crain (wife Kendra), Will Crain, Katie Schmollinger (husband Ryan), Kellie Crain, Alex Miller, Kacie Crain, Patricia Green (husband Matt), Tucker Murphy and Dakota Murphy; three great-grandchildren, Nora Schmollinger, Ella Schmollinger and Remington Green; many nieces and nephews and all her little saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lucille Parks; son, Ronnie Crain; brothers-in-law, Glenn Boomgarden and Louis Hankins; in-laws, Loren and Hilda Crain.
