Rosella M. "Rose" Pruemer, 86, of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 P.M. Saturday, November  4, 2017, in the Lakeland Rehabilation and Health Care Center of Effingham, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, November 9 in the St. Michael The Archangel Church in Sigel, Illinois, with the Rev. Father Suresh Sambaturu officiating. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Church with visitation continuing until 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel, Illinois. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements.

Rosella was born February 18, 1931, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of  Arnold and Gladys (Hobbs) Swingler. Rosella married Joseph B. "Joe" Pruemer April 18, 1951, in Sigel, Illinois. Mr. Pruemer passed away June 12, 2015. Mrs. Pruemer was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Church, St. Michael's Ladies Solidity and a Past President of the Sigel American Legion Auxiliary all of Sigel, Illinois and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Pruemer was a housewife and a homemaker.

Rosella leaves three sons, Donald Joseph Pruemer (Brenda) of Greenup, Illinois,  Kevin Charles Pruemer (Mary) of Greenville, Illinois and Anthony Lee "Tony" Pruemer (Mona) of Sigel, Illinois; one daughter, Linda Louise Bishop (Ron) of Mascoutah, Illinois; one brother, Joseph Swingler (Ruth) of Sigel, Illinois; two sisters, Joan Meyer of Bishop, Illinois and Charlene Westendorf of Dieterich, Illinois; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pruemer was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Pruemer; one sister, Nadine Kastl; one great grandson, Dylan Dunathan.
